The sun is shining, the days are longer and everyone's buzzing down at Powwownow. But summer's return is not the only reason we're celebrating. It's also our fifth birthday! 40,000 reasons to celebrate our fifth birthday!
That's right; five years have flown by, and a lot has changed in that short time. Remember how, five years ago, you didn't 'poke' all your friends? You told someone your opinion instead of blogging about it? Your funny homemade vids were more You've Been Framed than YouTube? And, in that time, you've been a part of more than two million conference calls delivered to over 101,597 customers who have saved more than £21million. On top of that, today our customers save £40,000 every day (compared to BTMeetMe's average call rates).
We'll drink to that.
Important number changes to your Powwownow
You know how special you are to us. And we like to show just how special by constantly making Powwownow a bit better than it was before. Here are the latest updates to how you Powwownow:
The Spanish dial-in number, 902 881 200, can now be dialled from mobile phones.
We have a new dial-in number for France. Enhanced Access users dialling in from France should now dial
0821 230 749 to start saving. The typical call rate has decreased from 15 Euro cents per minute to just 12 Euro cents per minute.
The Enhanced Access dial-in number for the US is now 1 712 432 2888.
A local access dial-in number has been introduced to South Africa. Enhanced Access users should call
087 550 0375. Calls are charged at 94 South African cents a minute.

We've admitted defeat at Powwownow. We can't compete with face-to-face meetings any more. It turns out that conference calls are no substitute for meeting in the flesh. So we've taken the 'if you can't beat them, join them' approach and we'll just be advocating meetings as the best alternative from now on. But we're happy being second best. Honest.
