Powwownow.co.uk gate-crashed Boris Johnson's Bicycle Hire Project last Friday to encourage customers to have a threesome at work. Well, over the phone, that is.

Europe's leading audio conference calls provider Powwownow crashed the launch of Mayor of London Boris Johnson's bicycle hire scheme last Friday with the start of their cheeky Up For A Threesome? campaign.

CEO Andrew Pearce and team took to a three-seater tandem bicycle to offer passerby advice on how to conduct a three- or more- way conference call, in addition to distributing a unique wallet for Londoners to hold both their Oyster cards and cycle keys in. With 5,000 bikes available for rent at the moment, Powwownow have matched that number with 5,000 of their own key holders.

We had a fantastic launch at the Cycle Hire Project last Friday, said Pearce. We even managed to hand Boris Johnson one of our Up For A Threesome? key-holders. He promised us he'd use it to hold his bike-key. He wouldn't be drawn on any threesomes he's participated in recently, mind.

You can follow the campaign on Twitter via @upforathreesome, while a photo gallery of Boris Johnson at the Up For A Threesome? launch has been set up on Flickr.

Additionally, the public are invited to play the Up For A Threesome?  game at Powwownow's site, where they can rank which celebrity couples they would prefer to join for a threesome, hold a conference call with, or throw off a cliff - and compare their results with the public.

The Up For A Threesome?  campaign will build from two additional guerilla events in August to a fully integrated cross-platform campaign including, radio, print, online advertising and PR in September.

We're excited about the continuation of the campaign in the months to follow, continues Pearce.  It's a bit cheeky, but there's a message behind it - when it comes to keeping people together, there's nothing better than free conference calls.
