Well, not really. Some conference call phones can make having something as simple and enjoyable as having a Powwownow seem frustrating. So here are a few tips to make sure you get a conference call phone that suits a Powwownow – and, more importantly, suits you!
- First of all, don’t just go out and buy the cheapest conference phone you can find. Try to find a phone with everything needed to meet your conference calling needs. Although you can get a number of budget conference call phones, it’s always best to pay for what you need. If you buy a phone without some of the features you need, you’ll only regret it. You’re better off in the long term to spend the money on a phone that meets all your requirements. Spend some time searching the web to find the right phone for you.
Spring has sprung, and for some of us in the Asia Pacific region, we have just experienced Chinese New Year here in Singapore. For some, it may be the first experience, and for others, you may be veterans of the Singapore customs, but in either case, it is full of festivities.
The Chinese year follows the lunar calendar, and is called the Lunar New Year, as it starts at the beginning of the Lunar calendar, which is also the spring season. This is the most important festival of the Chinese calendar, and is full of many traditions which are centuries old. It lasts for 15 days.
Well the first ever Powwownow Cake Club has drawn to a close and we have a worthy winner.
The last two cakes were very impressive, Nick and Carl made judging the final very difficult.
Cake A was a Chocolate mousse sandwich with speckled sweet sponge and shatterproof icing.
Powwownow Curry Club started last year, with the objective being that all of those involved would showcase what they think is the best curry house in London – and they’ll all vote at the end to find the winner!
So basically, if anyone feels strongly about curry and wants to open up the minds and tastebuds of their friends and colleagues to what they feel is the best curry to be found in London, they can jump on the Powwownow tuk tuk ride and steer us in the right direction!
If you’re a climate change believer there’s a chance that you’ve come up some pretty stubborn climate change sceptics, eager to denounce your opinion because they’re sure that climate change is fiction devised by some mad scientists with an agenda.
I wouldn’t be so short-sighted to say that the sceptics are wrong, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a bit of scientific evidence at hand for when you’re not as confident about the science as you would like to be? For example, when you’re in the pub and climate change sceptics who think they’re smarter than the scientists because they’ve read a few blogs or column inches surround you. Well, this is where the Skeptical Science app could help you out.
Hello Cake Clubbers,
Our second Semi Final saw Marketing pitted against Development.
Unusually for this competition both cakes created were sponges:
Louise’s was chocolate sponge sandwich with cream and raspberries.
We’ve all been there: waiting on hold while the most annoying, seemingly endless piece of on-hold music loops over and over again, almost mockingly.
Which is why we’re a bit excited about the latest feature of Powwownow conference calls. When you next have a Powwownow, you’ll be able to choose the music you and your conference call buddies hear while on hold during your call.
So the last of the quarter finals and Jana and Louise battled it out.
Jana made ‘piskoty s bananom’ which were described by some members as ‘Banana Jaffa cakes’!
If, like me, you braved the cold, wet and windy weather over the last couple of days, you’ll be forgiven for raising one eyebrow at the latest reports that Spring is here already, 11 days early.
The study found that four out of five animals and plants are breeding earlier because of changes in UK weather patterns.
Powwownow Supports RBS Six Nations
Powwownow, the UK’s fastest growing free conference call provider is supporting the RBS Six Nations.
Powwownow’s outdoor campaign launched at Twickenham on 6th February, a game that saw England beat Wales 30-17.
