Powwownow Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you need to pre-book the call?
A: No, unless there will be more than 100 people dialling in to the call. Our Outlook plugin and the ‘share my details’ scheduler are not necessary to make a call, they are just handy tools to share your details and let your Participants know when the call will take place.
Q: Can international countries dial the standard 0844 number?
A: Yes, although some phone providers may block this number. If this number does not work for international callers, then they need to dial +49 1803 001 178. We also have numbers available in various countries worldwide.
Q: If someone uses a different dial in number (i.e. International number) will they end up on the same call as me?
A: Yes, as long as all Participants enter the same PIN you will all end up on the same call.
Q: How long is my PIN valid for?
A: Your Pin is valid for life; you can keep on using it over and over again!
Q: How much do the call recordings cost?
A: Absolutely nothing, it is part of the free service.
Q: How much will it cost me to dial the 0844 number from my mobile?
A: This is not set by Powwownow. The cost for the call will depend on your provider and the contract you have. Please check with your telephone provider directly to get a confirmed call rate.
Q: You say your services are free but your website says I will be charged £2.58?
A: The cost comparison on our website refers to a standard call. We do not charge for a bridging fee, unlike BT MeetMe. The £2.58 is how much your standard call will be for a one hour conference call for four people. On our free service, we will never charge you. That is the beauty of our service, you simply sign in, share your pin and start talking.
Q: Do I need a conferencing phone to have a conference call?
A: No, our service can be accessed from any phone!
