Despite the fact that my fiancé doesn’t really appreciate facial hair when it’s only on the upper-lip, I managed to convince her to let me participate in the Powwownow Team Movember moustache-growing-spree. I thought it would be easy considering it was for a great cause, but when the words “couch”and “sleeping” were mentioned in the same sentence I had my doubts.
I do have to admit that occasionally I was a bit embarrassed about leaving the house, particularly during the last week of Movember. Just popping out for daily shopping, not to mention going to the gym, had to be thought about twice.
But now that I see how well we did, I can tell you that it was worth it: our powwow-mo-team managed to raise £502.01 for good cause!
PS. Before you ask, no, the picture isn’t from a math teachers’ convention. It’s actually our MO-team, doing a proud pose on the last day of Movember 2009.
