  • What’s the difference between the plans you offer?

    We offer four different types of plans. This includes our standard, Pro, Pro International and Enterprise plans. Each of these includes most of our Web Meeting features such as screen share, recordings, chat and more. The main difference is being able to use VoIP (computer audio) and video, the number of Guests, the UK & International dial-in numbers and number types offered.

    Our Standard plan is a free service that enables you to register and hold Web Meetings instantly. This plan is perfect for smaller businesses as up to 10 people can access the features in the Web Meeting room and an unlimited number of Guests can dial in by phone via Conference Call with our 16 Shared Cost numbers (whereby everyone pays for the cost of their own call). You also have access to international numbers if you need them.

    Our Pro plan is a rolling monthly subscription service. With unlimited UK local rate minutes included, UK calls are free for you and your Guests, but you also have access to additional pay-as-you-go geographic and shared cost international numbers. This plan is great for businesses holding larger and more regular meetings within the UK as up to 50 people can access the features in the Web Meeting room, 15 people can join via VoIP (use web audio for free through their computer) and use video. An unlimited number of Guests can dial in by phone via Conference Call. It is also perfect for businesses that want to limit fluctuating costs. It not only saves you money by having the cost of you and your Guest's call included in your monthly subscription, but it also saves you the hassle of budgeting for cost variations each month.

    Pro International:
    Also a rolling monthly subscription service, our Pro International plan includes everything in our Pro plan with the advantage of unlimited UK and International local rate minutes. This means calls to 42 different countries are free for you and your Guests. This is great for businesses holding large and regular international meetings as you can make huge savings on your calls.

    Our Enterprise plan is a subscription service for companies that need additional features or are purchasing a high volume of subscriptions. Great for larger businesses looking for a bespoke plan, we offer dedicated dial-in numbers at reduced rates, along with branded welcome messages tailored to your business and a dedicated account manager to support you every step of the way.

  • What dial-in numbers do you offer and for what countries?

    We offer three types of dial-in numbers that can be used in the UK and internationally: shared cost, geographic and Freephone.

    Our Standard plan gives you access to shared cost numbers. In our Pro and Pro International plans you can get access to geographic and shared cost international numbers. Please check your PowWowNow plan for a full list of included countries.

    With our Enterprise plan you get access to the full range of UK and international dial-in numbers, which includes shared cost, geographic and Freephone numbers.

    Depending on the plan you have with your phone provider, certain geographic numbers will be included for you to use for free. Please remember that shared cost and Freephone numbers will always incur some form of cost.

  • What's the difference between shared cost, geographic & Freephone numbers?

    PowWowNow offers three different types of dial-in numbers depending on your needs. This includes shared cost, geographic and Freephone numbers. The main difference lies in the way callers are charged.

    Shared cost numbers are charged to each individual Host and Guest dialling into a call. Everyone pays for the number of minutes they individually spend on a call. This charge appears on the Host or Guest’s normal telephone bill and is made up of PowWowNow’s fee and your phone company’s access charge (for minutes from a landline only).
    In the UK, these are 0844 numbers and apart from our bespoke plans are available to all of our conference call customers.

    Geographic numbers (e.g. numbers that begin 0330 in the UK) are local rate numbers within a country. When using a PowWowNow geographic number on a conference call there will be two charges applied: the PowWowNow fee and your phone network provider cost. The PowWowNow fee will be charged to the Host for all Host and Guest minutes used on a call. However, each Host and Guest will pay for their own phone provider minutes used – the good thing is, these minutes are often included in the user’s existing call package with their phone provider.
    This type of number is accessible to Pro, Pro International, Premium and Extras customers. As part of our Pro and Pro International plans, PowWowNow do not charge for these minutes for certain countries – please check your plan for a full list of included countries. However, Hosts and Guests may be charged by their network provider if geographic numbers are not included in their call package.

    Freephone numbers (e.g. numbers that begin 0800 in the UK) are the same as toll free numbers. They are free for Guests to call from a landline or mobile in the UK. Freephones abroad: International telecom providers may charge fees or place additional restrictions on calls from mobiles. Callers should check applicable charges with their provider. The Host pays for their own minutes on the conference call, as well as all Guest minutes.
    These numbers are used when the Host wants to cover the full costs of the call for their Guests – because of this, it is a more expensive number for the Host.

    These numbers are only available to Premium and Extras customers.

  • What is the maximum number of Guests I can have in a meeting?

    If you are holding a meeting and would like your Guests to dial in via their phone, then there is no limit on the maximum number of Guests that can do this. However, if you'd like some of your Guests to use the Web Meeting features, e.g. screen share or chat, then there is a maximum number of Guests able to access the meeting room depending on your plan.

    Our Standard plan enables up to 10 people to use the Web Meeting room features and an unlimited number of Guests can use their phone to connect to audio.

    Pro, Pro International & Enterprise:
    Our Pro and Pro International plans enable up to 50 people to use the Web Meeting room features, with up to 15 people who can join using their computer's audio and use video. An unlimited number of Guests can use their phone to connect to audio.

  • How do I pay for my subscription? What credit cards do you accept?

    If you purchase one of our Pro or Pro International plans, then you can pay by debit or credit card and will be charged monthly on the 1st of every month. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay.

    When you purchase a Pro or Pro International plan, you will be charged for the first month. However, to avoid the hassle of figuring out costs if you sign up in the middle of a month then we'll give you the rest of the month free and your payment will therefore be for the following month. For example: if you sign up on the 12th January, you'll get the rest of that month free and will be charged for the month of February and the next monthly payment will be taken on the 1st March.

    If you purchase one of our bespoke Enterprise plans, then you have the option of using debit or credit card payments or monthly invoice billing.
