Well, we’re already a month into 2013; time does fly when you’re having fun!
It would be fair to say that 2012 was an exceptional year for Powwownow. And it’s with this 2012 success under our belts that we plan even greater things for 2013.
So what’s in store for Powwownow in 2013?
Well as we always say, for businesses to grow and develop you continually have to push the boundaries and drive forward, so we won’t be sitting back and relaxing. We have a number of things planned for this year…
We are breathing new life into our website, with an exciting new redesign which will hopefully attract more customers and make using the site for existing customers easier. We are also in the process of rolling out our own new bridge technology (bridges are where conference callers are connected together), so that if we have any problems on a bridge (all technology occasionally splutters), customers can continue their calls blissfully unaffected. We currently have 99.96% service availability… 2013 – we’re aiming for 99.99% service availability.
We’re looking deeper into understanding our current customers better and using this insight to innovate and deliver a more targeted service. 2012 saw the start of better customer relationship management plans which offer a more tailored and personalised communication to customers. This year, this communication is going to become even more defined and a greater understanding of our customers will be gained so we can give them exactly what they want.
Powwownow will continue its development of new products. The Plus Service is ever growing in capability and I’m looking forward to seeing this advance. A big area of excitement for us in 2013 is the nurturing of Powwownow Engage; this communication platform brings HD video conferencing, screen sharing, IP telephony and presence based instant messaging right to your desktop. We believe that this has the potential to change the way in which we work…so watch this space!
So 2012 was a great year, and I believe that 2013 will be even better! We are learning and evolving and constantly pushing for improvement. So here’s to exciting times and a prosperous year!
Simon joined Powwownow in 2011 from British Telecommunications plc. where he held a number of general management and commercial roles. Latterly Simon had been the Chief Executive of PlusNet plc. (2010) an internet services provider, in which he helped deliver market share growth coupled with a range of awards for customer satisfaction. Prior to that (from 2006) Simon was the Chief Executive Officer for dabs.com plc., one of Europe’s largest technology e-tailers covering both B2C and B2B markets and where he was responsible for achieving unprecedented revenue, profitability and customer advocacy. Simon spent much of his early career within marketing and commercial roles for fast moving consumer goods companies, including Philip Morris, Bass Brewers and Mars Confectionery. Simon looks forward to leading Powwownow to deliver high levels of growth within the voice segment along with helping the business penetrate the adjacent collaboration market.
